2010 Glacier Park Centennial

If Glacier National Park or Flathead Lake are in your plans this summer, be aware that this is the Glacier Centennial and they are expecting a big year. Whether you plan to rent a motel room or find a place to park your RV, you'd better make your reservations early.

If Glacier is your destination and you want a rustic adventure, here's a great recommendation (I know the owner personally and can vouch for this great location). Stanton Creek Lodge offers cabin rentals, and RV sites as well as an old-time bar and cafe for guest's enjoyment and entertainment. They offer the most convenient location for access to Glacier National Park east or west entrance, and the Great Bear Wilderness.

In the area of Flathead Lake, check out these Flathead accommodations.

2010 will be a great year to visit Northwest Montana! Hope to see you there!

Thanks for the lodging/lake advice. Wasn't aware 2010 is the Centennial. Guess we should expect a larger crowd!
Have been wanting to see Glacier National Park for several years. Now the trip is just around the corner and I'm excited!

2010 was a great year for Glacier National Park and northwest Montana in general. It is pretty exciting that after 100 years, Glacier is still as wild and natural as the day it was established. By the way, I second your opinion about Stanton Creek Lodge... great place to stay! One of my favorite options for Glacier National Park cabin rentals.
