Flathead Lake Fishing Charters

If you are planning a trip to NW Montana, you probably already know that Flathead Lake is a ‘must see’ destination. Plus, if you are a fisherman or looking for an exciting daytime event for the whole family, fishing Flathead Lake is a ‘must do’ item on your vacation list.

For people who are not familiar with Flathead Lake, fishing can be a frustrating experience. You really need a guide or to rent a fishing charter if you want to be sure to catch any fish. More than 300’ deep, the lake requires some special fishing gear to reach the lunkers that hover around the bottom of the lake in the summer.

The best solution is to book a fishing charter on Flathead Lake and IMHO, the best Flathead Lake fishing guide is Captain Norm. The Captain owns the largest charter boat on the lake and judging from the photos on his website, he has many happy customers.

I know Captain Norm and one of his other Captains and these fellows know fishing. More importantly, they know how to fish Flathead Lake. That means they know where the fish are, what they are feeding on and when they are feeding.
Whether you are a local or are planning to vacation in the Flathead this summer, give your family a time they will never forget, book a fishing charter on Flathead Lake. Trust me, it will be in the highlight reel of your vacation videos.  Also, Captain Norm's Fish~N~Fun charters also provide fishing charters on Lake Koocanusa.

2010 Glacier Park Centennial

If Glacier National Park or Flathead Lake are in your plans this summer, be aware that this is the Glacier Centennial and they are expecting a big year. Whether you plan to rent a motel room or find a place to park your RV, you'd better make your reservations early.

If Glacier is your destination and you want a rustic adventure, here's a great recommendation (I know the owner personally and can vouch for this great location). Stanton Creek Lodge offers cabin rentals, and RV sites as well as an old-time bar and cafe for guest's enjoyment and entertainment. They offer the most convenient location for access to Glacier National Park east or west entrance, and the Great Bear Wilderness.

In the area of Flathead Lake, check out these Flathead accommodations.

2010 will be a great year to visit Northwest Montana! Hope to see you there!

Whoa!

Isn't it interesting that we can live day after day and NOT consider such important questions? Great head jogger... thanks,

Tom
